The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board met in regular session on Monday.

According to ADM Board Secretary Josh Jacobs, the board held a public hearing on the 2025-26 school calendar, which will start the year on August 25th and the last day of school will be on May 29th, 2026. The board took action to accept the calendar for the next school year. He mentions that two other public hearings were held, with one being on the proposed conveyance of a sanitary sewer easement located at the new high school site to the City of Adel, and the second relating to seeking competitive bids for the new ADM High School project. Jacobs details that the sanitary sewer easement resolution was approved by the board, but the bids pertaining to the ADM High School project will be reviewed and awarded at the next meeting on March 10th.

Other items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution to add a special education teacher at the elementary and intermediate level, a school nutrition procurement review corrective action plan in the amount of $40,718.33, a resolution to name three depositorities and Board President Tim Canney, Board Secretary Josh Jacobs, and Superintendent Greg Dufoe to be the delegates for the signatures of checks, a new printer sales agreement with Access Systems for $1,269, a storage area network purchase for Dell for $44,617.68, a network equipment purchase from the Heartland Business Systems (HBS) in the amount of $43,140.54, a network switch purchase from HBS for $127,503.84, and battery backups for the District Administration Center network equipment purchase for $19,090 to ByteSpeeds.
