Postseason is next for the Perry girls basketball team after the conclusion of the regular season last night as they fell to Webster City, 43-28. The Jayettes are matched up with an old conference foe in the first round. Perry will travel to Adel on Wednesday, February 19 for their opening round game. These two Dallas County schools are very familiar dating back to sharing the Raccoon River Conference for two decades.
ADM has won the last 12 times against Perry. This year was the first time the two schools were not scheduled to share a court together during the regular season. Perry was given the 6 seed of 6 schools in Region 2 of 4A. The winner of ADM and Perry will meet the 2 seeded Gilbert Tigers.
The other side of the bracket will see 4 seed Winterset host 5 seed Creston. The winner will play top seeded North Polk Comets. First round games are scheduled for Wednesday, February 19. The second round will be Saturday, February 22 and the Regional Championship will be played on Tuesday, February 25. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will broadcast every Jayettes game until they are eliminated.
