
Greene County hosted Carroll High in the final girls and boys bowling matches of the regular season for the Rams. The action was at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson with the Rams winning the girls’ match 1,845-1,800 pins and taking the boys’ contest 2,919-2,753.
The girls from Greene County ended the dual meet season with a 2-7 record while the boys went 6-3. Both Greene County teams had season high pin totals and the boys rolled their best score in the two years of a bowling program.
Senior Allison Fields led the girls from Greene County with a two game series of 331 and a high game of 174, her highest as a Greene County bowler. Shelby Finley totaled 243 with 238 from Alivya Cornell, Rozella Helms at 237, Trinity Hull 199, and 164 for Hayleigh Rivera.
On the boys’ side, junior Teagan Chisholm led with a 415 two game series including 221 and 194 games. Lane Fields and Jacob Rumley both shot 387, with Chase Fecher at 381, and Trystan Cummings 351.
Both Greene County teams go to Bowlero Thunder Bowl in Council Bluffs for their Class 1A State Qualifying Meets next week. The girls bowl on Monday and the boys compete on Tuesday.
