The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

The board heard from Waypoint Resources’ Executive Director Melissa Stimple, who made a presentation about the company’s recent changes in 2025. She highlighted that the organization changed its name from the Waukee Area Christian Services to Waypoint Resources to further emphasize that they tailor to all Dallas County residents. There was no action following the presentation.

Items on the agenda that were approved included a Dallas County Emergency Medical Services Homeland Security grant application as presented, a county attorney’s office two year contract with Westlaw/Thomson Reuters for $1,251.23, and appointing Aparna Sondhi to the Dallas County Board of Health Department. The meeting ended in a closed session to discuss a purchase of a particular real estate.
