With the Superbowl happening on Sunday, law enforcement is emphasizing safety reminders to abide by.
Iowa State Patrol Sergeant Alex Dinkla realizes that many people will be consuming alcohol during the game, and is encouraging them to find a safe way home. He understands that people want to have fun while watching the game, but stresses that it needs to be done responsibly.
“If you do choose to drink, please find that sober driver, find that responsible driver that will get you home and your family and friends home as well.”
Dinkla acknowledges that Superbowl Sunday should be a time to get together with loved ones to enjoy the festivities. He recommends that even if people drink a little bit, they should not get behind the wheel because buzzed driving is just as dangerous due to having a slower reaction than normal.
