A new business in the Perry community is holding a public event tomorrow.

The Perry Chamber of Commerce is heading to Misfits and More, at 1221 2nd Street, to recognize the new company with a ribbon cutting. According to partial owner Ashlee McIlhon, the store officially opened on February 1st and includes lots of merchandise, with clothes, miscellaneous items, and what McIlhon refers to as “mystery mail.” She hopes Misfits and More can offer materials that satisfy residents, so they don’t have to travel out of town, and she enjoys meeting new people.

“We love seeing everyone’s smiling faces every single day. I’m definitely a people person. I love to be able to bring that happiness and that joy and have a place for people to come and as much as it is a shopping experience, we’ve had so many people come in and just hang and chat and things like that.”

McIlhon announces that the other owners of the organization are her husband Jack, sister Jennifer Ray Nelson, mother Linda Collins Howard, and Linda’s husband Tom Howard. The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public tomorrow at 3:30pm.
