
It’s the last eight days of the high school basketball regular season for the Greene County Rams. Greene County plays in Des Moines tonight at Saydel on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage starts at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 o’clock and the boys to follow.
The Greene County girls scored just five points in a 51-5 loss in early January vs. Saydel. The Rams are 0-18 overall and 0-13 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. The Eagles are having their best season in years with a 10-9 record.
The Saydel boys broke a 25-25 halftime tie in the first meeting with the Rams, and rolled to a 68-40 victory. The Greene County boys are 3-15 and have dropped eight games in a row. The Eagles are 8-9 on the season.
