The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

The board held a public hearing for the Local Option Sales and Services Tax revenue bonds not to exceed $27,000,000 for several projects including renovations to the county engineer’s building, improving three courtrooms, along with the sheriff’s office evidence storage building and firing range. Following the hearing, the board approved a resolution of issuance as well as a resolution for the bonds negotiated sale process and preferred underwriter, and a resolution declaring official intent under treasury regulation to issue debt to reimburse Dallas County for certain original expenditures paid in connection with specified projects.

Other items on the agenda that were approved included a Dallas County Boards and Commissions Representative email issuance, resolutions for County Treasurer appointments including Heather Breown as the Motor Vehicle Supervisor and Heather Smith as the Motor Vehicle Administrator, appointing seven members to the Dallas County Compensation Board, and a Paving Project Highway Safety Improvement Program Funding Agreement with the Secondary Roads Department for work on County Road P48 in the amount of $310,000. The meeting ended in a closed session.
