The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The council will be reviewing the first draft of the budget for fiscal year 2026 relating to the tax levy rate, Local Option Sales and Service Tax, debt service, and general fund revenues. Other areas that will be looked at pertaining to the budget include the police and fire departments,, the library, the parks and recreation department, , the finance department, zoning, public works, and external requests. The council will then determine next steps for the fiscal year 2026 budget.

Outside of the budget, the council will consider an approval of a Class C Retail Alcohol License for the Adel Family Fun Center as well as a resolution to appoint two representatives to the Mid-Iowa Planning Alliance. The meeting is taking place at City Hall, 301 South 10th Street, in Adel tonight at 6pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will have the results of the meeting later this week.
