On Friday night the Panorama Panthers hosted the ACGC Chargers for double header basketball action and unfortunately were swept by the Chargers. The Panthers girls would battle but fell 54-35 while the Panther boys were defeated 71-31.

The Charger defense would contain the Panthers throughout the entire match, holding Morgan Crees to only 4 points the entire match. The Lady Charger defense would shine throughout the match, holding the Panther girls to only 13 points for the first half. Freshman Ruth Fett would shine for the Panthers, scoring 9 points, just behind Gimeno Perez with 10 in the 54-35 loss against the Chargers.

In the boys contest, the Chargers would take the lead in the first, scoring 20 points while holding the Panthers to 13. With the score at 20-13 to start the second quarter, the Chargers would show their defense power, holding the Panthers to only 8 points in the second bringing the halftime score to 44-21. The Panthers would continue to fight but would not be able to counteract the Charger defense, falling to ACGC in the end 71-31.

Panther basketball is back in action on Tuesday as the Panorama Panthers travel to Madrid High School for double header basketball action against the Tigers. Tip off is set to begin at 6:30pm for the girls with the boys to follow.
