A Wilton man was injured from a single vehicle crash in Perry on Tuesday.

According to Dallas County Sheriff’s Deputy Bret Maxwell, around 12:53pm, 48-year-old Jason Shoultz, of Wilton, was driving a 2004 Ford F-250 truck northbound on J Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle around the 12000 block, slid into a ditch and hit a utility pole. Maxwell states that Shoultz suffered minor injuries to his shoulder and was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County Emergency Medical Services. Following the incident, Maxwell says Shoultz was cited for driving with a suspended license. According to Maxwell, the truck was considered a total loss, while the utility pole had approximately $10,000 in damages.
