District 12 Senator Amy Sinclair
As the 2025 Legislative Session continues, one Senator is looking forward to what will be covered.
Senator for District 12 Amy Sinclair says that property taxes is something that many constituents have talked about with her, and that it is a topic her colleagues have discussed as well. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that land property rights is another topic that her constituents have asked about, and shares that there’s been a lot of discussion on working to help rural pharmacies.
“A lot of people feel there’s a lack of transparency in that middleman that’s the pharmacy benefits manager (PBM). I will say that there’s some argument that it’s cost containment for the plan holders, the people providing insurance for their employees, but there’s also a real detriment to our local pharmacies in that they’re tied to a contract that sometimes leaves them getting reimbursed less than their wholesale price for a drug that they’re dispensing, and so I think you’ll hear a heated debate on pharmacy benefits managers.”
Sinclair mentions that when it comes to things that she would like to see discussed, there are a few bills that she is helping work on, which includes school dissolution, as one of the schools in her district is going through that process, and has found a few issues that need to be addressed.
