Greene County High School is once again sending several students to compete in a speech contest.

Kelley Gray is one of the speech coaches and she says they have four entries for this Saturday at the Iowa High School Speech Association District Large Group Contest. Those categories include Choral Reading with a story called, “Travel Through TV Time,” a Reader’s Theatre act with “The Internet is District-Oh Look a Kitten,” along with a One Act Play entitled, “The Tell Tale Heart,” and a Group Improv troupe. A total of 25 students are involved. 

According to IHSSA, those entries that receive a Division I-rating by the room judge will advance to the state contest that will take place in February. Gray adds that they are traveling to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School for the district contest on Saturday.
