Perry basketball has two uber talented seniors on this year’s roster.  The Bluejays are led by Owen Myers and Geren Kenney.  The duo is averaging a combined 38 points a game at 19.2 and 18.8 respectively.  Going into Tuesday night’s games they were second and third in scoring in the Heart of Iowa Conference.  Both guys are climbing in the all time ranks for Perry.  Geren Kenney is the 4th all time scorer with 960 points and Owen Myers is 7th with 866.  Both guys could finish with over 1,000 points for their career an accomplishment only done three times before this year.  Coach Morris shares what makes Kenney so good.  “He’s able to score, but I mean if you really look at the impact. He impacts us in scoring and a whole bunch of different ways.  He leads the team in assists.  I believe he leads the conference in assists and he does it just different ways.  He’s a positive kid and kids like to play with him.”

Perry basketball returns to the court Friday as they host Roland-Story for a girl/boy doubleheader.
