With the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday coming up on Monday, there are a few offices that are closed in Greene County.

The Jefferson City Hall and Jefferson Public Library are both closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Library patrons are reminded that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday. Jefferson residents are reminded that garbage routes will be delayed by one day next week. Monday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday. Then Tuesday’s garbage will be done on Wednesday. Garbage routes for Wednesday will be collected on Thursday. 

Additionally, the Greene County ISU Extension Office in Jefferson will also be closed on Monday.
