A professional singer-songwriter and guitarist from Jefferson has had his name called to the Iowa Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame.
According to the Iowa Rock ‘N Roll Music Association, Chad Elliott is among the 2025 inductees to the Iowa Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame. For 26 years, Elliott has released 26 solo albums, where he performs original songs that he wrote as part of his main repertoire of Americana, folksy blues style of music. His latest solo album, “Untested Wings” was released in May of 2024 and he recently joined professional fiddler Kathryn Severing Fox as they released their self-titled album, “Weary Ramblers” in September of 2024. He is also the co-owner of Elliott Art Studio in Jefferson.
Elliott joins nine other artists as Hall of Fame inductees in the individual category. The induction ceremony will take place during Labor Day weekend in Okoboji. The last Iowa Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame inductee from Jefferson was the musical group, “The Bushmen” in 2018, who were a 1960’s rock band that featured members David Williamson, Roger Dunlop, David Baller and Bruce Bannister.
