The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board approved 13 pre-qualified bidders on the Secondary Roads Administration addition of the new administration building including building and structural concrete, masonry, structural steel, general trades, roofing and Sheetmetal, glass and glazing, metal framing, drywall, and ceilings; pre-engineered metal building, plumbing and mechanical, geothermal wells, electrical, concrete, and site utilities, demolition, excavation and grading. Secondary Roads explained the next step in the project is to accept a bidder by March 5th.
Other items on the agenda that were approved included a Decat Restorative Justice contract amendment in the amount of $155,000, an ambulance purchase for the Dallas County Emergency Medical Services Department for a 2025 Chevrolet G4500 Cutaway Van from Legacy Emergency Vehicles for a total amount of $278,885, and appointing Ernie Rudolph and Thomas Book as representatives to the Supervisors Compensation Board. Also, a public hearing was held for a resolution on the final plat on the Woodward Farms Plat One. After lengthy discussion, it was decided that the item will be tabled until the next regular Supervisors meeting on Tuesday at 9:30am.
The board then opened a Drainage District Trustees meeting for Drainage District 105, where the supervisors accepted a classification commission report as presented and then set a time and date for a classification hearing on March 4th at 7pm in the training room at the administration building in Adel. The meeting ended with several county budget workshops for the recorder, treasurer, attorney, and general assistance.
