Perry girls basketball ended a 9 game losing streak last night.  The Jayettes knock off the Rams from Greene County, 38-27.  The win for Perry is the first since December 5.  The Jayettes have now won 7 straight against Greene County.

Perry led 9-5 at the end of the first.  The Rams scored the first eight points of the second to take their first lead.  Kaycee Pittman for Greene County and Karagyn Whelchel would trade 3’s in the final minutes in the first half to make the game tied at 19-19 at half.  Perry pushed the lead to 28-25 to start the fourth.  Jayettes extended the lead to 11 to finish the game 38-27.

Lily Myers had a game high 18 points.

The Jayettes equal their win total of last year, 4 and have at least 9 more games to be played to beat that mark.  Now 2-7 in the Heart of Iowa Conference, Perry will travel to 8th ranked West Marshall on Friday.
