Perry boys basketball defeated Greene County in Jefferson last night. The two Heart of Iowa Conference foes played to a 68-27 game. The victory keeps the Bluejays as one of the top three teams in the HOIC standings.
The suffocating Bluejay pressure stymied the Greene County attack. Perry took a thirteen point lead into the second, 17-4. The Bluejays forced 17 first half turnovers en route to a 25 point lead at half, 35-10. Perry exploded for 25 points in the third as they took a 60-19 lead into the fourth. Final 68-27.
The 7-4 Bluejays host Woodward Academy tomorrow.
