For the first time in 2025, Greene County High School had its girls and boys bowlers in action on Monday. The Rams hosted Waukee at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson with the Warriors, a combined Waukee and Waukee Northwest program, winning both matches.

The boys’ final was 2,999-2645. Waukee’s Luke Barnard  rolled the high series of 437 and Ethan Biggerstaff had a 249 for the high game of the day. The Warriors improved to 5-1. The loss dropped the Rams to 2-2. Chase Fecher led the Rams with games of 202, 219 for a 421 series, third best on the day. The other Rams and their two game series totals included Jacob Rumley 362, Lane Fields 344, Teagan Chisholm 341, Damein Hull 312, and Tryston Cummings 311.

The Waukee girls won to improve to 6-0 with a 2,457-1,726 victory. The Rams fell to 0-3. This was the first meet for the Greene County girls in a month. Waukee’s Morgan Lowry had the high series at 369 and the Warriors’ Maya Martin had the high game of the day at 196. For the Rams, Allison Fields led the way with a 171 game and 281 series. Shelby Finley rolled 166-261, Trinity Hull 128-236, Rozella Helms 117-210, Hayleigh Rivera 113-201, and Elizabeth Lizzy Long 109-190.

The Ankeny Hawks are up next for the Rams. That match is on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 4 p.m. in Jefferson at Spare Time Lanes.
