On Friday night the Panorama Panther basketball teams played host to the Ogden Bulldogs and split the decision with four points being the deciding factor in both match ups. The Panther girls picking up a 34-30 win over the Bulldogs while the Panorama boys unfortunately could not come back and get the job done falling to Ogden 56-52.

For the girls, Panorama would take the lead in the first, scoring 9 points while holding the Bulldogs to six. In the second, the Bulldogs began to fire up and would take a two point lead going into the half scoring 11 points in the second to take a 17-15 lead. Lydia Lleshi and the Panthers come out fired up for the second half, scoring 8 in the third and 11 in the fourth while holding the Bulldogs to only 13 points in the entire half for a final score of 34-30 in favor of the Panthers. Lleshi would end up leading the Panthers in points with 12, with 2 three pointers made against Ogden.

For the Panther boys, both teams would come out of the gates fired up scoring in the double digits, with the Panthers taking a five point lead going into the second quarter. With the score at 18-13, Ogden would begin to fire up tie up the match at 31-31 going into the halftime break. With the score even to start the second half, both teams would refuse to give up, but Panthers would find themselves down by five with the score at 46-41. Panorama would continue to fight in the fourth, and with 3:15 left to go the Panthers would take the lead from a three made by Latyn Ashworth. This would not be enough however as Panorama would end up falling to the Bulldogs 56-52.

Panther basketball returns to action at home on Thursday for double header action against the Nodaway Valley Wolverines. Girls basketball action begins first at 6pm.
