On Saturday the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys traveled to Benton Community High School for the Benton Community Wrestling Tournament. The Mustang boys found great success, with three 4th place finishes, four 3rd place finishes, and one 2nd place finish.

For the 4th place finishes, at 132 Ayden Beck would be defeated by Steele Diercks of Assumption Davenport by fall in 3:33. At 157, Cayden Mayfield would take 4th after being defeated by Kaden Wiele of West Liberty by fall in 3:53. Nolan Parrish would round out the 4th place finishes for the Mustangs in 175 after falling to Ethan Prior of Williamsburg in 1:57.

At 120, Avery Van Zelderen would defeated Grayson Manning of Waukee Northwest via a 10-3 decision to claim 3rd place. At 126, Blake Forrester would defeat Lincoln Schropp of Williamsburg, while Cole Hemmingsen would also claim 3rd at 150 after defeating Kameron Kremer of Independence. Rounding out the 3rd place finishes for the Mustangs is Ryan Pertzsch at 285 who defeated Maxwell Azzaline of Assumption Davenport by fall in 2:21.

At 165, Tyde Nelsen would go for the gold but would fall to Kyler Knaack of Don Bosco, 19-4 to claim 2nd place for the Mustangs.
