A Paton man has pled not guilty to first degree murder.

According to court documents, 26-year-old Nolan Wilson pled not guilty to a Class A Felony for first degree murder and a Class B Felony for child endangerment resulting in death. Wilson allegedly killed his two-month-old child following an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and Greene County Ambulance responded to a 911 call at 101 South Wise Street in Paton on September 3rd. After first responders were on scene, the baby had passed away. The State Medical Examiner’s Office determined after the autopsy that the baby’s death was a homicide, caused mostly by head injuries from blunt force trauma. 

Investigators found out that Wilson was the sole care provider 24 hours leading up to the child’s death. Wilson was believed to have caused the injuries. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
