The Paton-Churdan girls and boys hosted a non-conference basketball twin bill last night in Churdan vs. non-conference opponent West Bend-Mallard. The girls’ game went to undefeated WB-M, now 9-0, by a 65-32 final. The boys’ game went to the Rockets, 61-51.

The P-C boys are 5-4 with wins in five of their last six games, something that’s not been done in some time at the school. Sophomore Trevon Keely led all scorers with 26 points. Junior Phoenix Hartman added 18 points with nine from junior Cayden Stream. The coach said unofficial statistics showed Keely with 11 rebounds, three streals, and four blocked shots. Hartman unofficially had seven rebounds with Stream unofficially at three rebounds and five steals.  WB-M fell to 2-7

The P-C girls fell to 1-9 and were led in scoring by sophomore Alivya Smith with 17 of the 32 points the Rockets scored. WB-M had 36 points from Hailey Stalzer.

The Rockets are home tonight with Rolling Valley Activities Conference opponent Woodbine for a girl/boy doubleheader. Both Tigers’ teams are rated in the top 10 of their respective 1A polls.
