Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has their afternoon library events planned for January.
Extension Youth Coordinator Rachel Blum says that these events take programming from ISU, and implements learning opportunities for children with a class at the local libraries. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they are doing with the libraries for this month.
“This month we are doing ‘Code Across Iowa,’ so we’re gonna have some fun and do some coding with some Bee Bots as well as the Dash and Dots, and also maybe include some Hex Bug coding. So we’re just gonna have a lot of fun with those.”
Blum mentions that they will have the first program of the week at the Stuart Public Library on Monday from 3-4pm. She adds that they will also be at the Casey Public Library on Wednesday from 4-5pm.
