The Heart of Iowa Conference expanded to 9 schools this year.  Grand View Christian Academy is the newest member of the conference.  Perry AD, Tina Lutterman, shares what the first few months have been like with having the Thunder on Perry schedules.  “There’s some really good competition. It’s a good addition to our conference.  They challenge us when we are scheduled with them so I’m looking forward to see how our Bluejays and Jayettes fear against their basketball teams.”  The two schools will meet tomorrow night on the hardwood in Perry.  The girls game kicks off the night at 6P and the boys take the floor after.  GVC has only been around since 2014.  The high school enrollment is only at 124 students as the Thunder compete in the smallest class for most postseason sports.  

In fall sports, Grand View Christian got the best of Perry in volleyball winning in 4 sets.  In cross country, the Thunder also finished ahead of Perry at the Heart of Iowa Conference meet.
