Greene County Community Theatre has announced auditions for its upcoming spring production.
According to GCCT President Clay Ross, they are doing a play called, “Sylvia” by A.R. Gurney and it is the story about a married couple named Greg and Kate who are stuck in the mundane routines of life. Ross says Greg wants to change things up in their lives and decides to bring home a dog, but without his wife’s approval.
Ross states that auditions for the comedy will be held this Sunday at 7pm and the following Sunday and Monday, January 19th and 20th also at 7pm, with all auditions taking place at the Greene County High School auditorium. He notes that the auditions will be reading from the “Sylvia” script. Ross adds that about four to six people are needed for the cast. Rehearsals will be done on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, Saturdays at 9am and Sundays at 7pm leading up to the performances in the first weekend of April.
