The public is invited to a concert tonight at the Greene County High School auditorium.

Greene County High School Band Director Wes Anderson says tonight at 6:30pm the jazz band will perform, and will feature Dr. Ryan Van Gilder, who is a 2001 Jefferson-Scranton High School graduate. Van Gilder has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and is the senior lecturer in trombone and jazz studies at Colorado State University Pueblo. He was also the first class to be inducted into the Greene County Fine Arts Hall of Fame in 2024.

Anderson states that Van Gilder will also work with his jazz students today and tomorrow in a couple of clinics to prepare them for the rest of the jazz season.

There is no cost to attend tonight’s concert.
