The leader in the athletics department at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School speaks on the dedicated group of girls apart of the dance team.

ADM Athletic Director Rod Wiebers tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it was amazing to see the Tiger Dance Team bring home their first ever championship in December. ADM participated at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association competition, where they won first place in the Hoopla category. Wiebers credits Head Coach Jana Morrissey on the outstanding work she’s done with the program, and knows the dancers work their butts off.

“Our girls work really really hard within that program, and if you come out to see a performance at a basketball game or a regional competition, or anywhere, they’re ultra competitive, and they’re a program that works hours and different times, but man they are so dedicated at their craft and what they do, and it was fun to see them get rewarded.”

Wiebers is impressed with the amount of leadership displayed through the girls and praises the coaches on helping them achieve that level of quality. ADM is preparing for the National Dance Alliance competition on January 12th at Johnston High School.
