Numbers appear to be down across the state for girls basketball. One of those teams hit hard is Perry. The Jayettes have 12 girls on the squad this year. Perry typically dresses 7 for varsity games and Coach Klein rarely plays more than 6. Coach Klein expands on the struggle of low numbers. “It makes it more difficult to practice your top hand players versus your lower end players such a big gap that it makes it difficult to practice and practice efficiently particularly against the competition that we have to play so that’s the biggest struggle that we have.”
The Jayettes were forced to play without 2 starters on Friday night’s loss to Nevada. The Jayettes return to the court tomorrow night in Jewel against South Hamilton.
