A US Senator from Iowa has nominated an individual from Jefferson for a military academy.

According to Senator Joni Ernst’s Office, Greene County High School senior Kamden Kinne has been nominated for the US Air Force Academy. Senator Ernst is a member of the Senate Armed Forces Committee and she recently announced her nominations for the US Service Academies.

Other nominations included the US Military Academy at West Point, the US Naval Academy and the US Merchant Marine Academy. Kinne joins 36 other high school seniors that were also nominated from across Iowa, and are representing the Class of 2029.
