If people are looking for some musical entertainment this weekend, there is a venue in Jefferson that is continuing to showcase a high level and local talent.

Singer-songwriter and musician Chad Elliott will perform live at The Courtyard Wedding and Events Center in Jefferson tomorrow night. This is the second monthly show that features Eillott, which is in conjunction with the ongoing Fourth Friday Fireside performances. Greg and Shirley Hacker are the owners of The Courtyard and Shirley shares her thoughts about opening their doors for community events like Eillott’s shows, meetings and parties for groups and organizations, among other things.

“I love the fact that we have a space that they can use. I guess that’s one of the things too is like they’re utilizing the building for community events and then we get to learn more about the community too.”  

Eillott plays a mixture of folk and blues style music with soulful original song writing. According to Alyssa Elliott, who is the wife of Chad and the Homefire Booking Manager, Chad has performed for over 25 years with more than 200 shows of experience. The doors for tomorrow’s show open at 5pm, with music from 7-9pm, and there is no admission charge.
