A Perry resident with the best decorations will be awarded tomorrow by the Chamber of Commerce.

According to Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, the organization was putting on a lighted decorating contest, where people were encouraged to drive around town and vote on their favorite holiday lights. She explains that an anonymous donor orchestrated the contest four years ago because they are huge fans of Christmas. Pasutti describes that the contest allows the community to have fun getting into the holiday spirit.

“This has really been becoming a tradition in terms of encouraging people to first of all, decorate, and then second of all, get out and enjoy the decorations around town, so kind of really showcasing that.”

Pasutti claims that nominations are now closed to vote, and the chamber will make an announcement on their Facebook page tomorrow to present the winner. She mentions that the winner will receive $25 in Perry Bucks.
