Paton-Churdan boys’ basketball coach Josh Cerveny and the Rockets picked up win number one on Tuesday night in Mondamin vs. West Harrison. The 64-41 victory by the Rockets featured three players scoring in double figures and seven Rockets getting in the scoring column. Sophomore Trevon Keely scored 22 points with junior Phoenix Hartman adding 15 and senior Cayden Stream 13. Coach Cerveny told Raccoon Valley Radio “That is the kind of production we need.” The Rockets are 1-3 and are home in Churdan Thursday vs. Colo-NESCO and Friday vs. CAM (Anita) as the second half of girl/boy doubleheaders.

The coach added the rebounding totals are unofficial, but sophomore Bryce Stephenson had 11 rebounds, Keely seven, Hartman was credited with seven boards as well, and Stream five, as did Hunter Saffell. Nolan Birdsell had 16 points and Blake Lawrenson 14 for WH.
