Last night the West Central Valley Wildcats boys basketball team made the journey to Red Oak High School to take on the Tigers. The Wildcats would battle and not give up, but wouldn’t be able to get the job done falling to the Tigers 51-38.
The Wildcats would battle in the first half, only down by three as the Tigers finished the quarter with 12 points. With the score at 12-9 in Red Oak’s favor. With five minutes left to go in the first half the Wildcats took the lead 13-12. The Tigers would refuse to end the first half behind, and would tie the match at 18-18 going into the halftime break.
The Wildcats would come back and take the lead in the third quarter up by one point, 26-25. In the final quarter, the Tigers would fire up and take the lead, scoring 26 points while holding the Wildcats to 12 taking the victory from West Central Valley 51-38.
The Wildcat boys now sit at 1-4 and are back in action tonight for double header action at Earlham High School. The Wildcat girls take action first, beginning at 6pm.
