One non-profit organization in Jefferson is encouraging everyone to pick-up some holiday cheer with a new fundraiser.
Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says they are selling an ornament as a keepsake memento that is made by Artistry Wood, as a unique holiday item.
“It is a very charming little wood engraved ornament that’s got the city’s (of Jefferson’s) logo on it and the year that the city was established on it, and so it’s kind of our first attempt at this. We kept it really general this year but in the coming years what we’d like to do is kind of highlight a building or a landmark from around the (Greene) county (area), and kind of make it a commemorative one each year. So it’s very limited edition, get them while they last.”
Wetrich adds that the proceeds from this fundraiser will be used for projects and programs that Jefferson Matters does in 2025. Ornaments are $10 each and can be purchased at the Welcome Center at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County, or online by clicking here.
