An established organization in the City of Adel is celebrating the holiday season by having open houses.
The Adel Historical Museum, 1129 Main Street, is inviting people to come check out the place after it was decorated for winter. According to Adel Councilwoman Shirley McAdon, residents Nadine Law and Aubrey Dunbar have taken it upon themselves to transform the museum into a Winter Wonderland. McAdon shares that a brand new door is being installed at the museum today at noon with funding from the Dallas County Foundation and the City of Adel.
“The added benefit of the front door is that it is (a) more historically appropriate door too for the museum. It includes a transcription above with the address of the museum, so there are a number of benefits from this project.”
McAdon welcomes people of all ages as the self-guided tour is available for free. The open houses will take place today and tomorrow from noon to 4pm.
