The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council approved a resolution authorizing the destruction of City records as allowed by the Iowa Municipal records manual, a quote from Panora Fiber to replace a server at City Hall and the fiscal year 2024 annual financial report. They also heard from Compliance Officer Wes Clark, who shared that a nuisance garage he is watching is being cleaned out but that it appears the items being removed from the garage are being piled in the yard. He said he would assess the situation at the end of the month.
City Clerk Kris Arrasmith shared her department update, as well, mentioning that another town was interested in purchasing the snowflake lights Guthrie Center has when they retire them after this season, and that various construction projects in the Cameron Flats subdivision seem to be moving smoothly, The Council then approved a $1.50 an hour pay increase for all city employees currently eligible for an increase.
