Greene County continued its high school bowling season on the road when the Rams faced Dowling Catholic at Val Lanes in West Des Moines. the Maroons evened their girls’ record at 1-1 with a 1,990-1,765 victory, and the boys’ match went to Dowling Catholic by a 2,754-2,741 score. Greene County’s girls are 0-2 in dual meets while the Rams are 1-1 on the boys’ side and the Maroons are also 1-1.

Coach John Woodford talked about the boys’ loss with Raccoon Valley Radio and said, “We just needed one more spare. The lanes played tougher with the ball hooking a lot., so the bowlers had to play where they hadn’t had to play.” Greene County was led by Chase Fecher with a 308 two game series and a high game of 234. Calvin Fields shot 210-373, with Teagan Chisholm at 203-393.

The Rams lost the Baker games by just 22 pins. Allison Fields led the Greene County girls at 168-305, followed by Trinity Hull with her best game of 155. Alivia Cornell is new to the team and had a high game of 133, while Breanna Ades also shot her highest game at 121.
