The Perry Community School District recently accepted applications for staff members that are nearing retirement.
Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks reveals that the board granted applications from 20 staff members pertaining to the 2024-25 voluntary retirement. He mentions that the district’s policy only requires six to be accepted, but given the loss of approximately 109 students, Wicks notes that they believe that all 20 would benefit the general school budget. He is extremely grateful to the board and the staff members for their commitment.
“(I) Want to thank each of these 20 people for all the service (and) the work that they have done at Perry Community Schools. Some all the way up to 30 years of service, but all 20 have served our Perry Schools tremendously and will continue to throughout the year.”
Wicks highlights that the 20 individuals have gone above and beyond during the recent challenges that the 2024 year has brought to the community. See the full list of the 20 staff members below.
