Bluejay basketball hosted the Mustangs from PCM last night.  Perry dropped their first game of the season in the 73-58 loss.  It was a a back and fourth first quarter with the home team leading 19-18.  The Bluejays’ offense exploded for 19 points in the second to extend their lead to 10, 38-28.  The Mustangs won the third 17-8 as Perry led was just one, 46-45.  PCM would run away with the fourth grabbing the win 73-58.  Perry was outscored 45-20 in the second half.

Three Bluejays scored double figures.  Owen Myers with 18, Geren Kenney with 14, and Gustavo Drahos with 13.

The Bluejays suffer their first Heart of Iowa Conference defeat, 2-1 and 3-1 overall.  Perry hits the road for the first time on Friday at Roland-Story for another conference clash.
