The Perry Community School Board met in regular session on Monday.
The board approved School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) Members of Linda Andorf, Grace Castro, Peggy Coleman, Vince Jahnke, Heather James, Kori Lawson, Amanda McDivitt, Christine Moore, Jolene Niemeyer, Ana Oliver, Tara Stemsrud, Joe Tuhn, Misty VonBehren, Kevin Vidergar, and Clark Wicks as well as approving the district annual improvement goals by SIAC.
Other items on the agenda that were approved included accepting 20 voluntary early retirement applications for 2024-25 as submitted, a financial services agreement between the Perry Community School District and Piper Sandler, an addendum to disseminate agent services with Piper Sandler to add 2025, 2026, and 2027 issues to filing obligations, a request to prohibit a student from checking out specific library materials to forgo a second reading, and a Metro West Learning Contract for Services to help a student.
Additional approved items on the agenda pertained to a request to use four buses for Perry’s 2025 prom on May 3rd, authorizing the district’s administration to submit a request to the school budget review committee in the amount of $232,478.06 for maximum on-time funding modified supplemental amount for open enrollment out, and authorizing the district’s administration to submit a request to the school budget amount of $193,380 for providing English Language Learner Program for students who have exceeded five years of weighted funding in fall of 2024.
