
On Saturday the West Central Valley Wildcats traveled to Harlan Community Schools for the Dan Hill Invitational. Two Wildcats found success during the competition, with Jared Rodriguez and Zach Teague claiming second place in their respective weight classes
At 157, Rodriguez first had a bye, then defeated Reese Fauble of Gleenwood by a 13-6 decision Next, Rodriguez would defeat Jax Jensen of Winterset by decision 10-9. In his final match looking for first place, Rodriguez would be defeated by Corbin Reisz of Logan Magnolia by decision 7-3.
In 285 Zach Teague would defeat Keaton Lynn of Lenox by fall in 2:17 to advance to the semifinals. In the semis, Teague would defeat Narciso Hidalgo of Perry by fall in 4:33. Now in the first place match, Teague would battle but would be defeated by Drake Buthe of Glenwood by fall in 1:26.
The Wildcats are back in action tonight as Teague and Rodriguez look to find more success at Panorama High School as the Wildcat boys continue wrestling action tonight at 5:30pm
