The Perry Community School Board will meet in regular session on Monday.

The board will be holding an organizational meeting to select members in the community of Perry. The board will elect a president, a vice president, and an administrator to the oath of office. Also, they will approve and authorize account signers on all Raccoon Valley Bank Perry Community School District accounts, the Dallas County Conference Board representative, an International Accounting Standards Board delegate assembly representative, authorization for activities director to utilize electronic signature for the board president, and approving master form and contracts for games and officials.

Items on the regular meeting agenda seeking approval include 2024-25 voluntary early retirement applications, selecting School Improvement Advisory Committee members, district annual improvement goals, financial services agreement, addendum to disseminate agent services to add 2025, 2026, and 2027 issues to filing obligations, and a policy request to prohibit a student from checking out specific library materials.

Additional items on the agenda pertain to a Metro West Learning contract for services for students, a junior class prom request for buses, authorizing the district’s administration to submit a request to the school budget review committee for maximum on-time funding modified supplemental amount for open enrollment out, and authorizing for a supplemental amount for providing English Language Learner program for students who have exceeded five years of weighted funding in fall of 2024. 

The meeting is set to take place at the Perry High School Brady Library, 1200 18th Street, Monday evening at 6pm.
