Today is the first of two opportunities for families to stop by for free Christmas shopping in Jefferson.

Ann Frederick with the Central Christian Church says the free Christmas Gift Market is open from 9am-3pm today with a variety of items that everyone of all ages. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio there were easily over 100 people that came last year and that this a great chance for children to get something for their parents for Christmas and for free. 

Frederick adds that there will be free gift wrapping available for those that would like to take advantage of that option. She reminds everyone that if people cannot come today, the next and final opportunity will be next Saturday also from 9am-3pm.
