Last night the Panorama Panthers hosted the IKM Manning Wolves and split the series, with the Lady Panthers coming out on top 60-49 and the Panther boys falling 58-54.
The Panther girls would score sixteen points in the first quarter, but the Wolves would begin to battle back, bringing the game to a one point difference going into the halftime break at 27-26. Morgan Crees would drive in for 2 with 7 seconds left in the half to give the Panthers the lead going into the break. Panorama would continue to hold the advantage in the third, finishing the quarter holding a 40-38 lead. In the final seconds of the game, Faith Recker would hit a buzzer beater three to claim a 60-49 victory over the Wolves.
The Panther boys would put up battle, but would find themselves just short of the Wolves throughout the match, finishing the first quarter just four points behind at 12-16 and finish the half down 33-25. Coming back motivated, the Panthers would come back within seven, finishing the third quarter 47-40. Jaxson Stauffer would drive in and find Brayden Prescott under the rim for two for the final points for the Panthers, ending the match at 54-58.
The Panther girls advance to 3-0 while the boys fall to 1-1. Panorama basketball is back in action tonight as they face off against the Madrid Tigers.
