House Representative for District 23 Ray Sorensen and House Representative for District 47 Carter Nordman have been named as chairpersons for House Committees.

In a recent release for the Iowa House Republicans, Speaker Chuck Grassley named Sorensen to chair the Economic Growth and Technology Committee once again. Sorensen was the Chair for this committee in his last term as well, and will have Representative for District 17 Devon Wood as his Vice Chair. Grassley placed Nordman as the Chair for the Health and Human Services Committee, with Representative-elect for District 51 Brett Barker as his Vice Chair. Nordman previously served as Chair for the Education Appropriations subcommittee.
