Tomorrow will see much celebration in Guthrie Center.

Small Business Saturday will be going on all day, and the Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce encourages people to visit their favorite stores in town. Main Street Guthrie Center Executive Director Lindsay Gilland mentions that they are holding their Santa’s Village from 1-3pm, where children will be able to participate in crafts and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Guthrie Activity Center. Then from 4-6pm there will be a soup supper, also hosted at the Guthrie Activity Center.

Gilland mentions that the Festival of Lights begins with a lighted Christmas Parade at 6pm, with the parade to begin at the Guthrie County Courthouse and finish at Mitchell Park on the east side of town. At 7pm, the next part of the festival will take place, as the annual tree lighting at Mitchell Park occurs, and at 7:15pm a Christmas light walk will take place in the park as well.
