The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Basketball team had a good balance offensive outpouring to roll to their second win of the 2024-25 season over Van Meter.

The Tigers defeated the Bulldogs 47-28 in their first road game of the year. ADM junior Madelyn Roundcount scored the first four points as the Tigers led 10-5 after the first quarter. ADM would outscore Van Meter in the second quarter 13-7 to take a 23-12 advantage into halftime. Bulldogs senior Finley Netten had eight of the 12 first half points. The Tigers opened things up in the second half by scoring 24 points and holding Van Meter to 16 to win the game 47-28.

Netten only scored two points in the second half to finish with 10 for the Bulldogs, as junior Alex Hogenson had seven and junior Lydia Thummel tallied four points. ADM had three players in double figures with senior Kelli Storck’s 12, then Roundcount and freshmen Ella Subbert each accounted for 10 points.

Van Meter falls to 0-1 in the season opener as they welcome in Knoxville this coming Tuesday. For ADM, they improve to 2-1 on the early year and will be off for the Thanksgiving break before inviting Dallas Center-Grimes into Adel on Tuesday, starting at 6pm.
