In the recent meeting of the Adair – Casey and Guthrie Center School Boards, the topic of whole grade sharing/reorganization was discussed.

AC/GC Superintendent Josh Rasmussen tells Raccoon Valley Radio why it was an important topic.

“Both boards discussed this at length, and they agreed that what we have has been very positive. It’s been very positive athletically, academically, all activities. And the communities really do come together well.”

Rasmussen mentions that the current agreement will end on June 30, 2026. He adds that the Boards and district administrators recognize possible future obstacles like issues with enrollment numbers that could be addressed by working with other districts around them. The AC/GC School Boards will revisit the topic in their December meeting.
